A Request for Senator Obama

When the “Man on a Mission” newspaper article was published, I sent a copy to Senator Obama along with the request that he call me at his convenience so that we might discuss my plan for Social Security reform in greater detail. It appears that my request was denied.

However, I did receive a phone call from Senator Obama's Washington, D.C. office during which one of his assistants asked me if I would please resubmit this request via fax. The following letter seems to offer similar sentiments, so there may actually be some hope after all.

Update: While my initial requests to speak with him were denied, I was eventually able to present Senator Obama with a copy of my plan during a public town hall meeting that was held only days after this letter of rejection was received. I suppose that proves that one should never give up, even in moments of disappointment when it seems like there is little hope of success.
